Graduate Admission 2011-2012

PLEASE NOTE: SELF-REGISTRATION IS UNDER REPAIR.  IF YOU WISH TO SUBMIT A CV, WRITING SAMPLE, OR BOTH, PLEASE EMAIL THEM AS ATTACHMENTS TO NED@BERKELEY.EDU.  PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THESE ITEMS ARE ENTIRELY OPTIONAL AND ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION TO THE PH.D. PROGRAMS IN EITHER ANTHROPOLOGY OR MEDICAL ANTHROPOLOGY.

The Department of Anthropology and Graduate Division accept applications for admission to the Anthropology and Medical Anthropology programs once each year for the fall semester only.

The application must be completed online.

**First go to Graduate Admissions to complete and submit the online application.This must be completed before going to the Anthropology website and filling out the candidate self-registration page. Otherwise the system will not recognize your userid. We synchronize our data with Graduate Division every Monday @ 5:00pm . Please wait until Tuesday to fill out the candidate self-registration page. Note: The candidate self-registration page will only recognize your name if the online application has been completed and Anthropology's database has been synchronized with Graduate Division.

Applications must be submitted online by no later than Midnight December 1, 2010. If you are mailing hard copies of forms B through F2, the postmark must be no later than December 1, 2010. This strict deadline is applied to the Official Graduate School Application. [Materials that can be accepted after December 1 are limited to letters of recommendation, official transcripts, the GRE or TOEFL scores, and writing samples.]
